Project Overview

SESIPL is proud to announce that we have completed another prestigious project in the IT hub of India, Bengaluru. Rakon is a leading global provider of high-performance frequency control and timing solutions for various applications, such as telecommunications, aerospace, defense, and scientific research. We were entrusted with the responsibility of designing and implementing the electrical system for their new facility in Bengaluru, which spans over 1,50,000 square feet.

Project Brief

The scope of work for the Rakon project encompasses electrical installations across the entire facility, including offices, labs, workshops, canteens, and other amenities. The project includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of various electrical components, such as:

• HT Panels: SESIPL installed high-tension panels to distribute the power supply from the transformers to the low-tension panels, ensuring safety and efficiency of the electrical system.
• Transformers: SESIPL provided and installed two oil-filled transformers of 1250 KVA each to step down the voltage from 11 KV to 433 V for the low-tension circuits.
• Rising Mains: SESIPL installed rising mains to carry the power from the transformers to the low-tension panels in different floors of the facility, using bus bars and cable trays to minimize voltage drop and power loss.
• BBT: SESIPL used bus bar trunking (BBT) to distribute the power from the low-tension panels to the sub-distribution boards, providing a flexible and reliable solution for power distribution.
• LT Panels: SESIPL installed low-tension panels to control and protect the power supply to various electrical loads, such as lighting, air conditioning, machinery, etc., using circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and meters.
• Cables: SESIPL used high-grade cables for the power distribution and lighting circuits, ensuring optimal performance and safety of the electrical system.
• Distribution Boards: We installed modular and compact distribution boards to facilitate the smooth functioning of the electrical load in different areas of the facility, such as offices, labs, workshops, etc.
• Light Fixtures: SESIPL provided and installed a variety of light fixtures, such as LED lights, tube lights, spotlights, and emergency lights, to create a bright and comfortable environment for the employees and visitors of Rakon.
• Switches and Sockets: SESIPL fitted stylish and durable switches and sockets to meet the diverse electrical needs of the facility, such as charging devices, operating appliances, and controlling lighting.
• Other Low-side Electrical Materials: We also supplied and installed all other essential low-side electrical materials, such as conduits, junction boxes, earthing materials, etc., to ensure a complete and robust electrical system for the facility.
